Jo has been making things her whole life. A former teacher, Jo is Autistic and a diagnosis of Long Covid and osteoarthritis, led to a whole life change. Jo Atrill Creations has been a long-brewing desire. She spends time with her family, animals, gardening, wild swimming and camping with her husband and four dogs in 'Vandalf' the Campervan.
Jo's mum encouraged her to make things from a really early age, saving packaging and shiny things - Jo has always loved to make the things in her head come to life. She takes most of her inspiration from whimsical fairy stories and nature. Having a little studio (pictured) has been a lifelong dream.
The 'mucky' side of the studio, where the lovely things are thrown. Finally having a bigger space has allowed for a big wheel and a lovely kiln. Honestly it is a dream and hard to leave. If you can't find Jo playing with a bag of mud in the studio, she will digging and planting in the mud in her beautiful garden.
Often having 'help' from the dogs, pictured here are Rosalind Franklin 'Rosie' and Mimi La Bonq. Brian the poochon can be found wherever Jo's feet are. The puppy, Cowee Fisher 'Cow' can mainly be found chomping on some clay she has sneaked out of the studio.
